I think I am gonna step up to the plate and get the first fundraiser going and then plan the next one to be right behind it...

Summer Fundraiser #1: Officer Auction (Jailhouse Rock style)

Date: Sunday June 17th (not much time, but not much prep either, plus TLL has an event planned for the 24th)
Time: 12pm ringer
Location: Palace on Wissa

Event description: My thought is that we state in our Sage Events thread that our officers have been caught by the BKs and put behind bars. And now it is up to the pirates of Sage Ocean to bail them out. And in return, the officer will be forever in their debt and will give support for one hour on a pilly or in any blockade of the buyer's choosing.

Also, at this event, we can encompass the gift auction as well in that we can do 5 gifts: a baghlah, a dhow, a furni item, a sword/bludgeon, and a gag gifts (like the doll). We can auction those off in between officers and let everyone know what they possible could win if they bid on the right present.

So, what I need is:
1. Place to host the event
2. Someone who is really AWESOME at event posts and can put this out there on the YPP forums with the pictures/avatar if possible
3. Donations of gifts (if possible) I have the furni item and bludgeon lined up and now the dhow...anyone willing to donate a baghlah?
4. Officers who would be available and want to be sold

I think we can make some excellent PoE at this if we heavily advertise and get some great names up on the auction block. EDIT: If you talk with any out-of-flag pirates that want to be sold in our auction, please let me know and we can auction them off as well. :D

I'm available to be auctioned, though one thing. If it's only when we're not attacking/defending, it might be sort of tough to get a sale. It'd be far more desirable to people if they could just call on us any time.

A livelong debt might be a bit long. I'd prefer we do the "standard" one hour of your choosing slave deal or a "Will support you one blockade (RL cirmumstances, like sleep, permiting)". Remember only a minimal fraction of players runs blockades, so a pillage/poker/whatever support is worth more to most.

For one of the limited time offers I am availiable to be sold/bailed out.

"Forever in your debt" is just a phrase I used. Yes, it would be the standard one hour on a pilly or blockade and I guess we can say that it can occur at any time...sounds good.

I'll be sold to be a blockade slave. I don't pillage much, and I'd rather not get bought by someone that will use me to pillage, so emphasize the fact that I can VA, Admiral, or nav in blockades instead of focusing on pillage skills or anything. /me hides his trophies. :roll:

EDIT: Might want to add in the "Will blockade against anyone but CCC" because Novo already owns Loose for a blockade, and PA might purchase me too in order to blockade us or something which would suck. I don't want to blockade against CCC. :P

Sorry, should have added over at the TLL page that if someone "buys" me they're welcome to use me for a pillage, but they may find I'm better employed on literary endeavours - i.e., if they prefer I can provide a limerick/other poetic form, whether for a blockade intent, to laud their praises, or to insult their detractors...
