In an attempt to introduce my crew (The Lost Lot) to the rest of the flag that may not know us so well, I took the time this week to catch up with Korr, Kaptain of The Lost Lot. I got deep into the psyche of this old man, and figured out he's got some crazy things up his sleeves for the hollidays. Read on to find out more!

Carrol starts the recorder...er...get's out the quill and paper
Carrol : "For the record, please state your name and occupation."
Korr : "Korr, Kaptain of the Lost Lot. The fourth to hold the position"
Carrol : "Yarrr"
Carrol bows to the Kaptain
Carrol : "Fourth, eh? Who were these three other pirates?"
Korr : "Captain Tealbeard was the founder of the Lost Lot. Along with Joshdan and myself, Tealbeard founded the Lost Lot on the Viridian Ocean in June, 2005"
Korr : "At the end of November, 2005, just after the successful blockade of Spaniel by our flag, the Light Brigade, Tealbeard decided it was time to step down and retire"
Carrol : "Yar!"
Carrol : "Long Live The Light Brigade!"
Carrol is done reminiscing
Carrol : "Candy for everyone!"
Korr : "as Joshdan had no interest in leadership, and I was planning to step out of the limelight myself for a while, the three of us chose Scarymuffin to succeed Tealbeard as Captain. Scarymuffin was a long-time Lost Lotter, someone that had come"
Korr : "with us from Viridian, and really helped build up the crew here. He also had displayed strong leadership skills, and a commitment to the Lost Lot. He was a natural choice for Captain"
Carrol : "Aye"
Carrol : "Two down, one to go!"
Korr : "In about February of 2006, Captain Scarymuffin was looking to move on. He had served the Lost Lot well, and felt it was time to move on to other adventures"
Korr : "Captain Scarymuffin chose an able successor in Captain Kathe (also known as Kaptain Kathe)"
Carrol : "Yar....the beginning of the Age of the Kaptains"
Korr : "Kathe had been one of the first of the non-founding members to be promoted to Officer on Viridian. In fact, I remember spending one entire weekend pillaging with her on our beloved sloop, the Reserved Alewife"
Korr : "after that I recommended her promotion, and Tealbeard heartily agreed"
Korr : "Kathe's hard-work didn't stop on Viridian, she worked tirelessly for the Lost Lot on Sage, and was always donating to various crew-causes. She also served as crew-treasurer under both Captains Tealbeard and Scarymuffin"
Korr : "So those were the first three Captains of the Lost Lot: Captain Tealbeard, Captain Scarymuffin, and Kaptain Kathe"
Carrol : "I gotta be honest with you Kaptain....you're too darn smart for me"
Korr : "how's that?"
Carrol : "My next question was to tell me about the Crew and it's history...and now I'm in shambles"
Carrol shufles through her papers
Carrol : "ah, here we go"
Carrol : "So, you've been with The Lost Lot for quite a while now. What is it about this crew that's kept you around and involved for so long?"
Korr : "well, that only covered the history of the Captains. There's also history of flag-involvement, and other such things..."
Carrol : "There's always the wiki...=P"
Korr : "What is it about the Lost Lot that's kept me around and involved for so long?"
Korr : "yea...but I haven't written that much on the wiki...i probably should as I'm a historian and no one else but me is around to remember it all..."
Korr : "With most of the original Lost Lotters gone now, I feel like such an old man sometimes"
Carrol laughs
Carrol : "I'm sure the youngin's make sure you know it too"
Korr : "like I'm sitting by the fire telling stories of daring-do of heroic pirates long dormant to young whipper-snappers"
Carrol laughs
Carrol : "We'll handle that another day, aye?"
Korr : "hehe, sure"
Korr : "back to your question of what's kept me around the Lost Lot for so long..."
Carrol : "Aye"
Korr : "loyalty, tradition, nostalgia, dedication, I don't know. I've never been in another crew. I helped build the Lost Lot on two oceans, I don't see any reason to leave it"
Korr : "if I ever decide to step down and make room for a new Captain, I expect I'll still stay around and help out as a Senior Officer"
Carrol : "I believe the correct answer was "Because you're great, Carrol!"...but I'll accept whatever you just said"
Korr laughs
Carrol : "Alright, let's go for the usual, more important questions...."
Carrol : "What's your favorite color?"
Korr : "color color, or puzzle pirate clothing color?"
Carrol : "either or both"
Korr : "honestly, I like blue. the whole red/grey idea was Tealbeard's, but they work, and they're fun. I've been wearing a lot of maroon lately"
Carrol likes her red and gray....
Carrol : "Alright"
Carrol : "What's your favorite puzzle, duty or otherwise?"
Korr : "actually, to tell you a secret...we picked the crew colors by going through tailor's racks"
Carrol laughs
Korr : "Tealbeard found a grey/red bandolier jacket he liked, and that was it...crew colors"
Carrol : "very...um...efficient"
Carrol laughs
Korr : "initially Tealbeard, Joshdan, and Myself all had grey/red bandolier jackets...it was a crew uniform"
Korr : "that didn't last too long tho...not the least because there's no female equivalent...what would Kathe wear?"
Carrol : "or me!!!"
Carrol : "or Ara!!!"
Korr : "yes, but remember, this was on viridian a month or more before Sage opened, and we had ever heard of you or Ara"
Carrol : "ahh, too true"
Korr : "my favorite duty puzzle is bilge"
Korr : "my favorite puzzle puzzle is the blockade puzzle"
Carrol : "Ah, an excellent choice"
Carrol : "How about your favorite type of candy?"
Korr : "chocolates"
Korr : "preferably dark chocolate"
Carrol : "Any particular type? Candy coated? With nuts? Dark, Milk, White?"
Carrol : "Ah, too smart for me again"
Carrol laughs
Korr : "just anticipating =)"
Carrol : "heh"
Carrol : "ok, I got a tough one for ya"
Korr : "42"
Carrol : "A good answer, but not quite...=P"
Korr sticks out a tongue
Carrol : "If you were stuck on board a ship in the middle of the ocean and the Black Ship attacked you...which two pirates would you want on board with you?"
Korr : "facing assured death...I'd rather go alone and save my friends"
Carrol : "Hmmm...dodging the question, eh? Ok, I'll let it slide....heh"
Carrol : "So I recently heard you were shopping around for a new christmas outfit. You can be honest with me here..."
Carrol : "You're gonna be wearing a Diving Helmet and nothing else at this year's christmas party, aren't you?"
Korr laughs
Korr has many mysterious surprises planned
Carrol laughs
Carrol : "very suspenseful"
Carrol : "Do we have any exciting crew or flag events coming up that you can share with us?"
Korr : "We've got a Crew-day celebration coming up this Saturday, December 9th. This will be our first crew-day for quite a while, so I'm looking forward to it"
Carrol : "Any specific plans for the crew day?"
Korr : "I'm not involved much in the planning, just in paying the bills =P"
Carrol laughs
Korr : "But I think it involves several tournaments, and maybe some hide-and-seek"
Carrol : "Ah, good fun!"
Carrol : "Any final words for the flag?"
Korr : "I'm baking a fresh batch of dark-side cookies up for everyone. Inanna finally gave me the recipe the other day"
Carrol : "Mmmmmmm....fiendish"
Korr : "and I'd like to say that I'm proud to be a CCCer. Candy Coated Chaos is the best flag I've been in since the Light Brigade"
Carrol : "Yar!"
Korr : "CCC may even by better than TLB, but nostalgia prevents me from saying so"

Who's gonna be next? I want YOU to decide! Reply to this thread with your suggestion for who should be the next to get interviewed and why! Should it be your crews captain? Should it be someone you've seen play an important role for the flag? Should it be you??? It's up to you to help decide!

Thanks to Carrol for all his work. For those of you that don't know, I've appointed him Flag Liaison Officer for the Lost Lot, with the responsibility of bringing our crew and our flag closer together. Candy Coated Chaos is the best flag I've ever been a part of, and I want everyone to have an opportunity to enjoy everything the flag has to offer.

As for Carrol's interviews of prominent flag personages, I have two suggestions for future interviews:
1)Zebrahead, CCC's newest Royal.
2)Bullseyebud, the new Governor of Amity Island.

I suggest interviewing these two not only to introduce them and their crews to the flag, but to highlight Candy-flag's new rotating leadership programs designed to give leadership positions to qualified flag mates. One of the best qualities of CCC is that leaders are selected based upon merit.

After interviewing Zebra and Bud, I'd suggest also interviewing Biegreddog , Cecidrake, and Teal--all of whom are prominent flag-leaders and royals.
